enjoying myers | the pridmore family
Our dear friends are the sweetest parents. Watching them around their son Myers just fills my heart up with joy, because their joy and delight is undeniable. Their joy is contagious. When I asked Megan what she was wanting as far as pictures go, she said, "I just want action pictures of us enjoying him toddling about". It was such a free flowing session and I am in love with the images we captured.
waiting for baby | the strother family
A few months ago, it was that sacred time of waiting for a baby to be born for the Strother family. I had the honor of attending their first baby's birth and documenting his first year of life and not even 2 years later we were all anxiously waiting for Zeek's sibling to be born. I just spent a casual afternoon at the family's farm and the moments I was able to witness and capture are so dear to my heart. I was especially thankful to capture the sweet connection between mama and her first baby.
What a beautiful, full life!
the owen's family | rock hill, sc
6 months ago, I changed up my business in an effort to be able to fully invest in my clients and their sessions the way I longed to. This session really confirmed that it was the right move for me. Last month I drove down to South Carolina to photograph the Owen's family. I was able to visit and casually shoot throughout the afternoon and was able to sit down to a simple, delicious grilled dinner with them afterwards as we chatted about motherhood, loss, working from home and the beauty in it all.
This family has endured more loss than I feel my heart could take, but yet they choose gratefulness and they choose to envelope their son Page in love as they keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Page has a big sister, Martha, who passed away at just a few months old. This house was scattered with pictures of her joyful, gummy smile and her deep, wise eyes. Martha is often remembered with pinwheels and purple which we incorporated into some of the family pictures.
These images stir up something inside of me...a deep longing to treasure up all the moments as this family does.
