childhood | hannah and her babies

“I just love how you capture childhood,” she said and my heart just warmed.

When Hannah asked me to photograph her and her twins (and her hubby for a little bit) I was so eager. They inspire me. I love when my kids play with hers because they play with such imagination. I love they way she loves them.

So I followed them around on their little adventures, driving in their vintage truck, finding treasures on the rail ties, running through the flowers at Veteran’s Healing Farm, and sailing boats in the creek.

I love the feelings I feel when I look at these images. Childhood indeed.

Please check out Hannah’s beautiful florals at Fern and Flora Studios.

james and claire | warmth and movement

I've kind of held on to this session with hands held to my heart.

It feels sacred.

James and Claire gave me the greatest gift, the gift of open hands and trusting hearts. I felt like I was painting as I photographed them at their home and on their land.  Everything felt fluid and warm with gold fall light.

Some of my favorites are the precious boyhood treasures of a curious little boy.

The holding hands around the place where James and Claire were married.

Quiet moments in the home.

Tousled hair and crinkly laughs.

I love it all.
